Deland is a city in northeastern Florida and is situated east of the St. Johns River, about 25 miles southwest of Daytona Beach Deland is a suburb of Orlando, making it an easy commute for residents that work and enjoy Orlando entertainment. DeLeon Springs and Blue Springs are also nearby, where kayaking, fishing and eco-tours are a major attraction for recreational activities.
Deland has very humid, warm summers and short, mild winters. Average summer temperatures are in the 90’s, with lows in the upper 70’s. The winter temperatures are in the high 70’s, with lows in the 50’s.
