I am a certified high school English teacher with 18 years of experience. I read Advanced Placement essays for the College Board and have taught Advanced Placement English for 12 years. By also being a Reading Endorsed teacher and writing coach, my skills are well-rounded in all types of written and verbal communication. Creative writing, painting, and surfing are passions of mine outside of the classroom. I have been a copy editor, written blogs and online research articles, along with completing commissioned artwork for buyers ranging from painting retired surfboards with landscapes, to large canvases.
